BERTUAHPOS.COM, SIAK – To explore the tourism in Siak, The local government has made the elephant training center (PLG) in Minas as a tourist attraction.

The regent of Siak, Drs Syamsuar Msi said that conservation tour has been confirmed by the Center for Conservation of Natural Resources (BBKSDA) and the Ministry of ForestryÂ
Directorate General of Forest Protection.

“PLG Minas confirmed for conservation tour, during a meeting with all elephant handler in Indonesia recently,” said Syamsuar, Tuesday (3/3/2015).

There are 27 elephants in PLG Minas Sendi which located in Taman Hutan Raya (Tahura) Sultan Syarif Kasim. The visitors can ride the elephants around the forest. The local goverment will cooperate with BBKSDA in preparing the tourism package. (vany)
